I know we have all heard that the love of money is the root cause of money problems; however, I strongly believe that is not true! In essence, it is the way you view/ think about money that will cause you to have money issues. These scriptures support what I am saying:
- 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, AND GOD IS ABLE TO BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY, SO THAT IN ALL THINGS AT ALL TIMES, HAVING ALL THAT YOU NEED, YOU WILL ABOUND IN EVERY GOOD WORK.
- John 10:10 says, THE THIEF COMES ONLY TO STEAL, KILL AND DESTROY; I HAVE COME THAT YOU MAY HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT ABUNDANTLY.
- Matthew 6:24, NO MAN CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS, FOR EITHER HE WILL HATE THE ONE AND LOVE THE OTHER, OR ELSE HE WILL BE LOYAL TO ONE AND DESPISE THE OTHER. YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAN.
I have learned that trying to do things on my own and not allowing God to help is one of the biggest mistakes I have made. More importantly, I need to follow his word. His word and promises are the only things that are TRUE.
It is important to take a second and understand your money move by thinking about the following:
- Your subconscious beliefs around money.
- The relationship you have with your money and how you normally think about wealth and money.
- Your thoughts, beliefs, and values regarding money and how money influences your actions
Your money move has a significant impact on your financial life. This is because your thoughts lead to feelings, which lead to actions, and which eventually lead to your results.
To sum it up, think of it like this: Ideas-Beliefs-Acts-Results
Please get a piece of paper and answer the following questions:
- How do you think about money?
- What are your beliefs?
- What are your habits and traits when it comes to money?
- How do you feel about yourself?
- How well do you relate to others?
- How much do you trust others?
- Do you truly feel that you deserve wealth?
